Heavy industry saves the day

I admit that this post is late due to real life obligations, and I am here at work in lunch time typing it.

This should represent the results of the month of June 2025, they were simply not good at all, I think this is due to the inevitably slow restart of the manufacturing process, adding to that relying totally on the less known T2 realm for me, as I told before it is just a bit overwhelming for me to do T2 manufacturing from scratch, and producing 10 totally different types of items.

The sales results in June were below average, and the competition in Jita is fierce, Amarr is just helping the sales numbers, but not making the big difference. I have just invested 10 billion isk and the profit outside PI was 1.8 billion, means half of my cash capital was not invested.

To rectify this and from 1st of July I decided to call support from the heavy artillery...freighters manufacturing.

Doing this in the past never failed me, so it is time to reintroduce it in my manufacturing process, and starting with a good batch: 3 bowheads and 3 avalanches, without totally stopping the T2, it is sort of hybrid approach if we can say, now my industrial operations spread across 3 adjacent systems, one for T2 one for capital parts and the last for freighters, a spare system is also there in case I will anchor a raitaru, this is to keep industrial index under control.

One bowhead already built and sold on market, for 700 million isk profit in the same day, it is not always like that, I was lucky the prices were high at the right moment, tomorrow the whole batch will be ready, and the expected profit for the batch will be above 4.5 billion.

T2 sales also are quite good in July, people are mass buying large turrets, I think some war is happening in null sec blocks, war is good for business, if things continue like this my ISK balance sheet will be positive by end of the month.

For the reactions, I have totally abandoned molecular forged formulas, they are very easy to make and the market is oversupplied, I just sold one batch after more than one month in the market, for the composite reactions, fortunately they are heavily used in capital parts manufacturing and the moon goo is very cheap now, I will use reactions slots to support the freighters profits, I will launch one or two weeks long reactions as they are plagued by slots inactivity now.

For research, still have many BPOs which need material efficiency, many other BPC waiting to start invention on them, things still messy in the research / invention side, I just bought one capital parts BPO as their BPC were not available.

I will post the balance sheet of July at the end of the month.

What I will do for next month:

    1. Expanding the capital manufacturing operation and targeting two batches per month of 3 bowheads and 3 avalanches (6 bowheads and 6 avalanches per month minimum) with expected average profit of 6 to 7 billion.
    2. Using reactions only to support capital parts manufacturing.
    3. Continuing with the profitable T2 items, but priority is for the freighters.
    4. Testing the never invented/manufactured T2 items which I have their BPO to refine more my list of profitable T2 items.
    5. Seeking items with more complex / longer supply chain to avoid competition.
  1. I really hope that this month of July will be better than June, see you at the end of month.

New batches and new business

In the last 2 days now the 2nd and 3rd batch is in sales orders in Jita, 30% of it is in Amarr as planned, it is clearer now that some items are sold very fast, some other items need babysitting, while other items are just mistakes.

So, I have updated my item’s list as planned and now they are 10 (should be) profitable items.

Coming from a situation of very slow slots rotation, where bowheads and astrahus took one week, to a situation of fast paced manufacturing jobs (T2 weapons) is a bit overwhelming for me, as I need to daily manage industry jobs,  and move materials and products by myself (I have one account), my goal is to launch 1 day jobs so the impact of market fluctuations is minimized, but because of this, many slots stayed idle for long time, this is what I should avoid at all costs, because “what matters the most for an industrialist is continuously active slots”.

Most of this inactivity was in reaction slots, as composite reactions are out of my plan, that’s why I taped a new door: Molecular forged reactions, on paper they are profitable and not complex, the down-sides are the high volume of the initial materials and the unavailability of some rare gases in Amarr, despite this the first batch is ready and hitting the market while I am typing this post.

What I will do now:

1.   Consolidate my new molecular forged reactions business with more blueprints.

2.   Create buy orders for Robotics as they are expensive material for T2 manufacturing, this will lower the T2 materials bill.

3.   To lower idle slots I will partially restart my bowhead/avalanche production the next month, I will keep this month for T2 / molecular forged business only to have a clear situation in the end of the month.

First batch lessons

The batch finished and it is in Jita sales since 3 days now, 2 of 7 items in the batch already vanished from my sales in less than 24 hours, others still struggle, as their prices start to fall, looks like I came a bit late for the profits party.

What I can do now is to babysit the orders until the end, the harsh competition in Jita has no mercy.

The market fluctuation hits hard again, and what is profitable yesterday is barely doable today, I think this is one of the most important factors to understand in EVE Online, but it is not the only approach, I can just stop following what is profitable today and focus on what is profitable often, means to play the long game, and accept to tie few billions in sales orders for days, to do this I will rectify my sales strategy as per the following:

1.   revise / add more items to the manufacturing batch to spread the risk of fluctuation, now I have 7 items, I will rise to 10.

2.   Reserve 30% of my output to be sold in Amarr hub and accept the fact that it may takes time.

The second batch has been already started with the previous list of manufacturing, guess I will apply these corrections in the coming one.
